WITNESS AND LITIGATION SUPPORT SERVICES
Andrew Scott is available to assist attorneys, municipalities and
police departments as a consulting or testifying expert in civil
and criminal cases. Services include:
- Case assessments
- Document review
- Oral and written reports
- Drafting of deposition questions
- Opposing expert evaluation
Mr. Scott is an active member of the Forensics Committee and the
Crime Prevention Committee of the International Association of Chiefs
of Police (IACP).
The Forensics Committee studies issues and makes recommendations
involving the use of the forensic sciences in police matters. According
to the IACP committee, specific police forensic topics addressed
include:
- Existing and emerging forensic technologies, including implementation
guidelines
- Management and quality assurance for police forensic services
- Legal considerations relating to police forensic science and
investigations
- Investigative and evidentiary uses of police forensic services
- Forensic components associated with counter-terrorism and/or
mass disaster
- Relationships with crime scene investigation, evidence storage,
identification units, and medical examiners
- Relationships and coordination with other branches of the criminal
justice system, such as the NDAA and APRI
- Forensic sciences training, including crime scene investigations
and evidence protection
